History

1898:

In 1898, in order to deal with disinfection in hospitals which was a major worry in those days, Maurice Berger invented and patented a system of diffusion by catalysis.

This revolutionary technology, for purifying the air in enclosed rooms, to which he had the bright idea of adding fragrance, was soon to be applied to home use, giving rise to the company Lampe Berger.

1930: "The Golden Age"

The Lampe Berger became a useful object, every lamp is associated to a designer and well-known manufacturer ( Crystal from Baccarat, Daum Crystal, Lalique & Porcelain from Limoges). The taste for beautiful objects reached its peak and the Lampe Berger became a collector's item.
